This condo building was one of the first in a highly desirable neighborhood that was growing significantly with brand new high-end developments on every block. While the building was mostly rentals at the time, it was slowly turning over both with updates and residential demographics.
We purchased and renovated about 4 units in this building as we knew the neighborhood needed more residential homes at affordable prices. The new units that were coming up were million-dollar units; these were close to half the price.
This unit was a one-bedroom but had an enclosed balcony. By adding a barn-door feature and a Murphy bed, we were able to sell this as a two-bedroom condo. The other renovations included opening up the kitchen and fresh paint, flooring, and finishes throughout.
