This home was a foreclosure in an area that faced many foreclosures at the time. The garage had been converted into a bedroom – a common feature of the neighborhood – and there were more weird additions & conversion to the back of the house. That extra living space was grandfathered in, which benefitted us as it added more footprint to the property.
Nothing was worth saving. The interior was completely outdated and everything was in disrepair. This was a full renovation. All the wood paneling had to be removed to modernized and lighted up the space, walls were moved to give the home a much better flow. The windows weren’t functional so they all needed to be updated. The awkward addition in the back was utilized to create a true master suite with a walk-out to the backyard, which just weeks earlier was more like a junkyard.
The final product ended up being a beautiful home in a middle-income neighborhood.
